I think Zebra Print is….well, Funky.  You either love it or look the other way. Exotic Animal fabric prints will always be in my fabric collection. But the Zebra print is my favorite. Spring Outdoors -My Happy Place – pillows-cushions-tablescape

Are you making any changes to your outdoor living space for Spring?  I’m refreshing our patio for Spring using  simple changes with pillows and cushions. Love that word “refresh” pertaining to updating your decorating. This year I wanted a Tropical Safari feel. I was inspired after viewing this video of the  Singita Pamushana Lodge  in Zimbabwe. The color palette of Black and White, Teal, Blue, Green, Yellow I thought was beautiful and bold.  See more of the Villa here .  … Continue reading Spring Outdoors -My Happy Place – pillows-cushions-tablescape

The Pouf. Floor Cushions for outdoor living

I am a true die-hard fan of floor cushions.  When I see floor cushions in a space it indicates to me a relaxed, care free atmosphere.  A laid-back style with a touch of fun releasing the formality of decorating.  That speaks volumes to me because I’m a closet Afrocentric Bohemian Hippie. 🙂 I’ll spare you the pictures…. With all that being said, When my daughter asked me to make her and the grands a few floor … Continue reading The Pouf. Floor Cushions for outdoor living

Pillows Worthy of Golden Words – Gold Leaf pillow

Petal Taffeta goes Shabby Chic – DIY Pillows

Hi there, I hope you had a wonderful week-end.  Yesterday, Sunday, (my favorite day of the week) was a bright, sunny beautiful day.    It turned out to be a Do nothing, Snuggle up, Sleep In, Stay in bed, kind of morning.  But I finally decided to come out from hiding and make the bed. Making the bed each morning is some what of a ritual for me something I am adamant about.  A … Continue reading Petal Taffeta goes Shabby Chic – DIY Pillows
